Also himself/herself – grammatical question

Is the following sentence is correct?
The director also himself was in the house.
(Meaning that not only his employees were in the house.)
Could you write other sentences with the same meaning even if the above sentence is correct? Because I use "also" too much.

No, because I could put both "himself" and "also" in several places in the sentence. World order must be important, there could be very strange sentences written.
And it is in the same way when using "as well," or "equally" etc. I'm not sure about their proper place in the sentence in some cases, especially like in this one, when himself/herself comes additionally.

You could say:
The director, himself, was also in the house.
