"doing so good" vs "doing so well"

Just read this line in a video game I'm working on with others.

"You stretch, but your muscles don't seem to be doing so good today."

I feel this would sound more correct if it were to say

"You stretch, but your muscles don't seem to be doing so well today."

But because I'm not very good at grammar I'm afraid to bring up the matter.

"Doing so good" is dialect/informal. "Doing so well" is more formal or standard English.
