Then "Why".....wherein I attempted to instruct Fishin' on finding his inner dominatrix - and succeeded only in embarrassing myself:

My goodness - this simple question does bring out the inner
dominatrix in all of us, doesn't it!

I don't have an "inner
dominatrix".
Sad

How do I get one?

Fishin, dearest, you don't have one! Well - maybe you do. Have
you tried a leather bustier, corset, suspenders, fish-net
stockings, and terrifyingly high heels? This often seems to work
in Australia for men - but then again, it's hard to keep an
Aussie bloke out of a frock ...

If that is no good, try awakening Squinny's. Other than that - I
believe they rent by the hour? Most of us seem to have one though
- I suspect they are the introjected aspects of the infant's
perceived "bad" mother - split off and projected onto others or
onto aspects of ourselves - but that is another story ...

Fishin!

I do beg your pardon! For some reason, while knowing I was
talking to the name Fishin, I was talking to the person Bi-Polar
Bear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Um - blush - can we change "Squinney" to "your significant other
if there is one".

Oh blush, blush, blush.

So I guess I should retract that e-mail I sent to squinney
suggesting she fire up the webcam?

Darn! I thought maybe there was something I was supposed to be
aware of going on... ROTFL!

I remember feeling I had to be very, very careful about anything that I posted in my early days. I was new to the internet & Abuzz seemed to be extremely exacting! I was amazed & thrilled when my Mean & Evil Characters In Fiction thread received so many responses. Wow! That was nice.

Do you have the url?

That doesn't seem to work as one for me.

LOL - I can't believe it! I've finally gotten back my 4 smileys!

Once upon a time someone followed me around giving me unvaluables, and (s)he took me down to 3 ... I long forgot about that until just now I noticed that there were 4 again! I'm sure they weren't there yesterday ... someone musta pulled me over the threshhold.

Hehhehheh - how silly/cute. Last round everyone! Razz

Well, I was able to log into Abuzz, and found these two food topics, where I met a few familiar names. I carried these topics/themes over here when I first joined A2K:

One of my alltimefavorite threads, this started out about how to cook duck, and then, after some waddling about, took flight: http://boston.abuzz.com/interaction/s.195223

Ah, I see Cav listed it too. I've cut and pasted it if anyone is interested.

Osso, I saved all of 'em ... I'm anal, you know.

Now whether I'll actually ever look at 'em, thats another question ... a walk down memory lane aint half as much fun if its only on your own harddrive, and you cant leave a short note reviving a long-forgotten thread to find, instantly, one or two other posters from way back then popping up again too ... and you know, 500 threads, thats an awful big pile'a'files to find something back in even if you do suddenly, some time, realise - hey, I wrote about that once, I wonder what I said?

Debs - sorry bout that ...

Hmmm, I was shut out once for months, probably because I cleared cookies, or some damn thing, and didn't understand, at that point in my online life, how to clean out declined cookies. I kept getting the news that someone already had my email address. Phooey. I did get in eventually by getting a yahoo account (easy) and becoming on abuzz, in sequence, Zuccotto (an italian dessert) and I think ossibuchi, eventually catching on that I could just be ossobuco again. Once in, I could look up my old stuff.
I mention this should anyone want to try that route.

Though, with all the imposters, it is probably easy to check in there anew.

btw no passwords needed. I haven't been able to log in, but I just kinda leapfrog around 'til I see my name, click on it, and there's all my stuff. (Interactions started, interactions involved in, etc.)

I can't POST as sozobe, which is kind of irritating, even though it would be easy as Osso says to just start a new account to do so, but I can get at and save stuff, which is what I'm most interested in.
