Hi I want to change my large switch and socket used to isolate my oven and hob, we have disconnected the oven and no longer need it, we only want the hob , will a 20 amp DP socket switch be OK to replace the original oven/hob switch seeing that it will only be used to isolate the hob. The hob is rated at 20 amps

Probably it would work okay but Rob what's a hob

Some ac devices upon being energized draw a sudden pulse exceeding its rating
