Drive for an Elevator

We need help or a manufacturer's advice on something like a drive for an elevator. We want something that could optimized performance and safety. Most likely one that could handle tough environment without failure.

Are you looking for an elevator drive? Is it for a low or high-rise traction elevators?

If it's only for a single story rise to a second floor, use existing technology. I'd buy a car lift and convert it to an elevator. It has all the same safety features as a commercial elevator. Cost about $1700.00. You can't build the drive yourself for that price.
