JUst purchased these 2 old prints by the same artist. They are both hand signed and have a embossed stamp on bottom left side that both stamps are a little different .

Stamps both start with what looks like a backwards E then after backwards E in same row stamp are EIVC and other is EIUJ with it looks to be Rintseller on top of stamp and association on bottom of stamp.

Looks like an Old English D, L or T at the beginning.

@arth7yderg7yur,
Im not familiar with that stamp but usually the embossing is a product label of the paper manufacturer and the type pf paper.
Im familiar with D'Arches, Canson, Ingres, and RIVES. (The closest one would be RIVES as they have had thousands of paper types and weights and surfaces and tints. SO , maybe look up RIVES embossing symbols. RIVES has been in business for a billion years (+/- 14)

@farmerman,
Since Arches may be one of the one that youre most familiar with , try looking up. "Arches watermarks, on laid paper" in Google. Yu will get lots of embossing watermarks
