Same Test for Reliable Analysis?

Hello and thank you in advance for entertaining my question(s)!

In a Local Similarity Analysis-LSA, or a Historical Similarity Analysis-HSA, as applied to multiple choice test scores, must the test (questions, language, and response options) remain the same throughout-for the entire sample set, before the results are high confidence?

Perhaps these are separate questions; LSA and HSA...
