Hi English teachers,
may I ask the meaning of the following sentence?Can I say that Default= forward means permitted to forward?
Default = forward: That which is not expressly prohibited is permitted

It is not a proper sentence. It does not really have a "meaning". It looks like one fragment and one sentence joined together with a colon (which is wrong).

Default = forward

This could mean "the default direction is forward". (The direction of what?)

That which is not expressly prohibited is permitted.
This is self explanatory.
