All sorts of things are wrong with that. First, "need" isn't terribly relevant to this issue.
Second, people use guns to defend against attackers who do not have guns.
Third, if guns were prohibited, criminals would in fact still have guns.
Fourth, it is unconstitutional to prohibit guns in America.
