Using the formula, the best horror movie must have been my sister's 17th birthday.

Dammit, that should be "cos x-1". Otherwise it comes out "House of 1000 Corpses", and we know that can't be right.

Quit with the formulas already. Smile

Frailty directed by Bill Paxton.

This movie still perplexes me, but it was a horror flick, that's not really a horror flick.

Anyone here see it?

Frailty was great. Besides being an exciting movie, it gave you an interesting peek into the mind and logic of a "God-told-me-to" killer. Reminded me of my parents, although they never killed anyone (that I know of).

equus, I don't want to be a spoiler for anyone here should they choose to see the movie, but what was your take on the ending?

Adult guy is not the son we thought he was. Will carry on his father's work.

I finally realized that, Horseman, but was the dad right all along?

(every time I see your handle, I think of Ambrose Bierce's "Horseman in the Sky")

Frailty was amazing, and I agree with Equus on the ending. As for this strange thread, all math and weird play make....ahh, forget it. The Shining was really good, but apparently Stephen King hated it.

No wonder, King hated it, Cav. The thing was not a good adaptation. I did NOT want Scat Man Caruthers (was that his name) to get done in.
They didn't give enough background on The Donner Pass, either.

Frankly, I don't much care for King. I liked Carrie and The Stand, but that was about it.

Sorry Thok, didn't mean to sideline your math. Smile

The Shining wasn't a good adaptation, but it was a good film. King hated it most likely because that egomaniac Kubrick messed with his novel.

Kubrik saw a good idea for a screen play not a good book. I find King as egocentric as Kubrik was. Don't mess with Kubrik! He my main man.

Oh yeah, I agree. My original statement was non-partisan. Laughing Mind you, Eyes Wide Shut sucked major ass.
