Lets just say a vampire breaks into a random house one night,never expecting that this was the house of his beautiful long lost bride - the one he had been searching for years.
He enters into the bathroom only to find his bathing gorgeous bride taking a bath.He is quite embarrassed about the way he invade the young lady's privacy,so how should he apologize nicely to her?

@popaandreea,
I am trying to picture running over a bride, or anyone else for that matter, while she is bathing.
I see a monster truck . . .. .
Hot tub.
AHHH!!! ..
But, you said inside a house . .. .
So . . . .CRUNCH!!!
Then AHHH!!! ..
Really. do you think any apology could be accepted?

I believe we have here a person who is not a native speaker of Egnlish and who therefore does not know of a distinction between runs over and runs into (as in, encounters).

He shouldn't. Rather he should scold her for getting lost for so long.

@popaandreea,
1) He uses his vampire mind control to make her forget
2) He plays it off as exactly what he wanted to do, so no apology necessary

He sings a couple of verses of "Rubber Duckie" and bows out.

It's a trick question. Vampires can't break into houses. They have to be invited in. Everyone knows that.

Stephen King didn't make that up. If anyone did, it was Bram Stoker:

Bram Stoker wrote:
"He can do all these things, yet he is not free. Nay, he is even more prisoner than the slave of the galley, than the madman in his cell. He cannot go where he lists, he who is not of nature has yet to obey some of nature's laws, why we know not. He may not enter anywhere at the first, unless there be some one of the household who bid him to come, though afterwards he can come as he please. His power ceases, as does that of all evil things, at the coming of the day.

@joefromchicago,
Yeh, most Stoker lore (although trying to sound ancient, was made up for his story about a specific named strigoi )
Karadzic never mentioned the "need to be invited through the "threshold of a home" also many of the earlier folklorists.
Krdzic recalls the lore that , in order to see whether a vampire is real is to bid him come two times, or, if you sieh to stop a vampire pursuing you, spill mustard seeds on the ground and the vampire is COMPELLED to stop and pick them up before continuing

All the "creature of the night" **** and Dracula not leaving a reflection in a mirror was all SToker's tale spinning.

@joefromchicago,
I did not remember that from the original. The first I remember reading that
was in King's Salem's Lot.
