"Face" is a... character, I guess... who takes up the whole screen. Basically it makes the TV itself a character. So if he is blue at the moment (he changes colors), it's a blue screen with animated eyes and mouth doing various things. He introduces shows, little commercial-length spots.

We do the "yes no opera" often after seeing Face do it. It goes something like this:

Yes yes yes!! [very high pitched]
NO NO NOOOOOO!! [very low pitched]
Yes yes yesssssss!!
NO NO NOOOOOOOOOOOO!
YES!
No!
YESS!
NOOOOOO
yesnoyesnoyesnoyessssss....
NOOOOOOOOOOOO....

I have to agree with that. He looks like a friendly, approachable octopus too, so that's a pro. Is that a bowler hat that he has in his tentacle? Is he English?

Pfft, I never watch cartoons....well, except for Justice League, X-Men Evolution, Jackie Chan Adventures, Mucha Lucha, the occasional episode of Teen Titans, Batman Beyond, not the new Spiderman, it's lame, Battle of the Planets (Gatchaman for the Japanese fans) on DVD....erm....okay, I guess I do watch cartoons.

I don't know Face because we don't get all the Nickelodean shows here in Canada, but that octopus looks cool.
