What do you think about this piece?

I like the play on words/concepts but most of all am completely taken aback that this is being done by oil on canvas. Looks like a photo.

I know not all are as much a fan of realism as I am but the technical mastery behind this is literally awesome.

The way the artist rendered the light is fascinating and amazing! I would love to see the real painting.

A lot of technically excellent things feel cold and sterile to me. This one is no different in that regard.

It's a technically beautiful piece but not one I'd want in my home.

I do get a giggle out of the bum reflection which seems to be nearly dead centre in the piece. I don't usually think of those art figurines as having bums.

I wouldn't want it in my home either, though I appreciate it.
I tend to like the visible roaming of a brush - over different art periods/centuries.
I do get it that this is very careful work and I enjoyed seeing it.
