Most part spelling has not been an issue for me. I hear a word, visualize from a printed item and it's done.
I was thinking of you just yesterday sturgis. How are you doing?
I was a really lousy speller in school and no tricks ever helped me.Especially asI did not remember how to spell the tricks all the time.
Accepted the bad grades as one of the teachers said it was because I was bilingual.
Used a dictionary a lot but did not always remember if you write who or hwo.
The more I have had to do with different languages and teaching three different ones my spelling has not only improved but I can spell..
My greatest problem now is that I often type faster than my keyboard reacts.
At least I can see the mistakes the keyboard makes even without a read line underneath.
I'm a pretty good speller. I don't use spelling tricks. However, I forced myself to remember that there is no C in supersede.
@Tes yeux noirs,
That's the way I learned. "I before E except after C"
@farmerman,
Hahaha!
I usually do the same thing and it always works for me.
