I have a bit of a dilemma, the electric frying pan broke down, I don't have a frying pan big enough, and no bbq, I need to cook some burgers like pronto, will they turn out just the same being cooked in the oven?
Yeah, they'll cook ok in the oven, but you'll have some grease to clean up after.
I suggest broiling, not baking. Montana is right about the grease--particularly if you're using cheap hamburger.
Still, a broiled patty tastes delicious.
Probably too late, but yes, they'll be just as good as frying. If you have a broiler pan (comes with oven, two pieces with top piece having holes for grease / juice to fall through) it will keep your patties from sitting in the grease. Definantly broil, and keep an eye on them cause broil is quick in most ovens.
