Mixer valve in shower

our mixer valve in the shower is hard to shut off.

It is the push pull type. It pulls out to turn on OK, and the adjustment is fine. When you go to turn it off it is very hard to push in. Any experiance with this or known fixes?

Find out the make, or take it apart and bring it with you to the plumbing store. I am sure there will be a kit for it.
