Has anyone got anywhere with #49?

Absolutely no idea. Can't think of anything that would link Panama and Libya. Maybe it's one of the setter's Mensa-type problems, but in that case I don't know why he has used the past tense which would seem to suggest a particular year.

Have wasted some hours on 49 without success. How about q27 - does anyone have a clue?

Can anyone help with #13. I have an answer HA but aren't convinced I'm on the right track. I've been through endless matches both Test and 1st class.

My answer is PP. It was certainly right at one time, but records can change. Could you spare a clue on 27?
