a. shakuhachi (flute)
b Samisen
c. Koto (type of banjo)
d. all of them above

Same. I didn't see a traditional Japanese orchestra, but I also did my research. I think the shakuhachi has eight holes, since "hachi" means eight, and the samisen has three strings (because "san" is three).
