Thoughts on Sylvia

I'm directing a production of A R Gurney's 'Sylvia' in few weeks. Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the piece. Any interesting production ideas you've seen or your thoughts on the gender projecting that 'Leslie' the counselor discusses. Just curious and want to get any outside opinions. I've been living with the piece for a while and sometimes I think any outside thought or two helps to put it in perspective.
