The word "ball" is pronounced like "all" with a b. Is this correct?

"Like 'all' with a b" is the only part I care about, as the rest was a random example.

Is this correct?

Do I capitalize "B" at the end? Do I put it in quotation marks?

99% certain I should put quotation marks around "all."

Does this vary by style guide? Is this even in style guides? I can't find one with it and it's very hard to search for.

@Firefall,
I would have put quotes around "all" and "b" and capitalizing "b" is not necessary. Don't know if there is a style guide though.

Edit: Here is a style guide: http://www.thepunctuationguide.com/quotation-marks.html#lettersandwords

@engineer,
Interesting, thank you for that thought. I know for a grade, or example, you can just say an A, without question marks.

If the sentence was different, and the "b" was referring to a name; say, "My name is Paul, like 'Saul' with a 'P." Would we then capitalize the P, as it refers to the first letter of a name?
