LOL ... I believe I feel flattered to be considered a Graeco-Roman Antiquity! I'm fond of Cameos and reliefs, and The Gemma Claudia, with it's fiesty little eagle, has always to me been a paragon of the genre, an unrivalled masterpiece of Onyxwork, as well as an evocative reminder of The Spirit of the Claudian Period, another paricular personal Fave! Thanks!

Of course, Nero was next ... but still, The Claudians were magnificent (if a bit quarrelsome and bloody).
