I saw in discovery that a hairband type thing can detect our concentration by using this we can control our home appliances.
So I want to know how it works and what is the name of this thing?

I want to use this for control tv fan etc by using brain concentration detector
My daughter has a set of cat ears from Japan that claims to detect brain waves to move the ears. There is a sensor that is pressed against your forehead and a clip that goes on your ear lobe. It is actually kind of fun to play with, and with concentration I can get the silly things to move. I put on my scientist hat and did a controlled experiment... concentration does seem to have an effect on the ears, but it is rather unreliable.
I don't think there is any practical use for this... but it is a fun little toy.
