I have this painting for long time, my family had for more than 170 years. It is a painting for Marie Madaleine that it was hidden under straw in the Spanish Civil War because it could be stolen. An artist examined this painting a few years ago and he thinks that it could be painting for some Andalusian Art School or Italian art school. There are on the right bottom corner a bible and a skull but it can not be appreciated so good in this picture.
If anybody has a idea of who was the painter or something about the painting it could be great!!
The size is more or less 160 cm x 90 cm
You're not going to find the level of expertise you need here. Clearly it's very old, you need to get it properly appraised. And you need to get some books on the subject, start off in a big library.
