@bobsal u1553115,
I'm afraid to remove it from the frame as its old. Where a normal modern day frame would have those staple things holding the back board in.....there are some of those and several screws that are screwed in sideways at an angle holding that back board thing in. I was able to feel a piece of material or something that hangs over the length of the board in one place so I know its not attached to the board or painted on the board. I've honestly never seen anything like this. I was hoping someone would notice the background or something and recognize the artist. From my own research I was looking for women that had that white horn looking thing on the front of her head. I may have to remove it, but hate to. I looked really close and studied the bottom where a signature might be, but if its there it is so faint you couldn't read it anyway, very smudgy looking. Looks like a Persian rug, but the women have light skin in the painting so maybe not Persian. The pennant flag has a yellow or gold looking dragon on it. I see palm trees. Thanks so much for trying to help identify it. It would be so cool if there are more in this and I can figure out the story it tells. I'm fascinated by it.
