@George,
Texans JJ Watt has been reported to have a broken his left hand resulting from practice Wed practice. When asked about it he said that it's an inconvenience:

""Let them try, come at it," he said about opponents targeting his cast."

@Ragman,
From anyone else, I'd call it braggadocio.
Him, I believe.

@ossobuco,
"Watt and the Texans have a crucial Sunday night match-up against the Patriots. The Texans are tied for the division lead with the Colts at 6-6, and a win over New England would greatly enhance their playoff chances.

A win could prove difficult, though. The Patriots might get star tight end Rob Gronkowski (bruised knee) back. He was back at practice Thursday after missing Wednesday's full-pads session and all of last week's practices."

Bill Belichick is usually a man of few words, and he has probably never
been described as effusive. But all that changed when the Patriots coach
answered a question about J.J. Watt during a Wednesday conference call.

Belichick spoke nonstop for more than a minute, at one point suggesting
Watt has already locked up his third NFL Defensive Player of the Year
award, even if he doesn't play another snap this season. He added, "This
might be a good game for him to rest."

In true Belichick-ian tradition, Coach Bill praised JJ Watt's amazing skills and compared quite flatteringly and him quite favorably to the late great LT (Lawrence) Taylor, the holder of the defensive records for which Watt is bearing down on.

@George,
Skeeter1eye and cowdoc are lost. So far it's been about 3 hours since they left to take back the rental car so thought I'd be nice and put in skeeter's pick for tonight's game. Arizona I believe he said. If you look under cowdoc's pick Mizcow should be there, if not she says Arizona.

I am showing that Cowdoc and Swatherqueen did not make picks for last night's game, unless I missed something.

@CowDoc,
for Coastal Rat - this was from before you posted the list for the week. Miz CowDoc too in the post after this one.

@Ragman,
Pats injury update:
In addition to Gronk now being likely to play, Edelman is as well...likely to play. (Jumping up and down.)

Not so sure about status of defensive player Collins. How about an Offensive Line that isn't so offensive and can protect Brady from getting smeared. Last 3 games, he's been hit over 35 times.
