a/c electrical question

we have a 2 zone tappan a/c heat and right now it is not working....the circut breaker will not move...do I call an electrican or a a/c heat company to come and fix it? Sorry for the dumb question but dont want to call both if I dont need both....thanks......

thank you, that's what I will do...right now they are all cloed till morning and it's pretty warm here in SC.......the breaker will not stay and goes back to where it was.....its a 2 zone for 2 story.

I'm unclear...are you saying the circuit breaker keeps shutting off..as in tripping?

If so, until you have an electrician investigate it, leave that a/c unit off and use fans.

In the meanwhile, check out the condenser coils and make sure they're free of ice and are not obstructed or something obviously wrong. If uncertain just wait til electrician checks the matter out..as to why the circuit trips the breaker.
