Thrift Market find - who is the artist?

Hi there. I found this oil on canvas today at a market very cheap. It is 30 x 40 cm and is signed "GUTHRE" or "GUTHRIE", can't make it out. There is no info on the back, but it is professionally framed. It looks 1960s to me. I found it in Cornwall, UK. Any more info on the artist? Many thanks. Ben
