Two random variables X and Y have means 5 and 14, respectively. Given that X and Y have equal standard deviations, which of the following statements is true:

A. The two distributions are equally variable
B. There is not enough information to compare the spreads of the two distributions.
C. X is relatively more variable than Y
D. Y is relatively more variable than X
E. The variance of Y is greater than the variance of X

A. If the standard deviations are the same, they are equally variable.
