Blocking on Facebook - does this extent to FB messenger App?

I blocked someone on FB on my PC yet on my phone I have the Messenger App. Does the blocking extent to the messenger App. E.g can they find me or can I find them on this app? The reason I ask is because FB says blocking doesn't extend to apps and games because they're external to FB. So would me blocking someone on my PC make them avaliable to message/view on my phone's Messenger App?
