Is there any way that I can find the version of the running messenger to make sure that it's the same as the as what the app settings say it is? I temporarily renamed the previous version -- C:\Users\jeffl\AppData\Local\Programs\Messenger\Messenger.exe --
to Messenger.xxx to make sure that it wasn't launching that one somehow. There was no difference when I clicked the latest meta version icon in the menu bar. The notification just won't go away.

Also. does anyone know where the EXE file for the new version is located on your hard drive?
