Well my doc called and said that he and the radiologist who read my new mri are astounded because there is NO TRACE that any injury to my back ever occurred. Comparing my June 2014 MRI with this past weeks MRI it shows a SEVERE hernia (his words) and now it's like nothing ever happened. He said they're passing them around his practice and everyone is puzzled. He said he's not seen anything like it. Upshot? The pain I've been feeling is just because I've been sedentary since my injury last year and my core muscles (among others) are atrophied. This means I can get back to the gym and onto my bike and start rehabbing. I'm sure I'll be sore for a few weeks but I'm hitting it hard starting today. I can't wait to ride the Neuse trail by the river this afternoon and hit the gym on Monday.
I hope you don't over do it. As we both already know, it takes longer for older muscles to get back in shape.
@edgarblythe,
I'll do it right despite my tendencies to overdo everything Ijump into

Beth I studied to become a trainer. I won't hit it hard enough to do damage.
