@sanorporgir,
All the troubles encountered when upgrading Windows are normal, they are all unpredictable. If iwere you, next a clean Windows 10 installation will be done.

Microsoft has a new app that sets the "daily Bing background image" as your desktop background image and updates it every day:

https://appuals.com/download-bing-wallpaper-app-windows-10/

https://www.windowscentral.com/set-bings-daily-image-your-wallpaper-microsofts-new-official-app

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/bing/bing-wallpaper

If anyone chooses to install it, I strongly recommend unchecking "set Bing as my homepage" and "set Bing as my default search provider" during the installation process.

I installed it. It lets me choose from the past week of Bing background images.

I just installed it today, so I don't know if I keep the images once they are on my computer, or if I am limited to only the most recent week of images. I'll know tomorrow if the oldest image gets dropped from the lineup.

The few copyrighted background images (the ones that Bing has always prevented people from downloading) have a different image substituted in the lineup of the app. The substitute images are nice too though.

The oldest image was dropped from the lineup. So you have to choose recent images from the past week.

@oralloy,
For those who don't realize it, Microsoft comes out with a brand new version of Windows 10 twice a year.

Version 1703 was released in spring 2017.
Version 1709 was released in fall 2017.
Version 1803 was released in spring 2018.
Version 1809 was released in fall 2018.
Version 1903 was released in spring 2019.
Version 1909 was released in fall 2019.
The rather confusingly named* Version 2004 came out a week ago.

If you want to upgrade from an earlier version of Windows 10, you can go here and click the big blue "update now" button:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

If you choose to upgrade, you should probably wait until you don't need to use the computer for a period of time. The upgrade process will probably take awhile.

It also might be worth waiting until after the next Patch Tuesday (which will be June 9) so they can fix any bugs that crop up in the new version.

* If you think "Version 2004" is going to cause confusion, wait until "Version 2010" comes out in the fall.
