In a cryptic sort of context if A = AFR and T = EPM and X = DSM then which letter equates to JGG?

I'm obviously not on my own thinking that this is a hard question. There doesn't seem to be anything to go on. The letters just don't seem to stand for anything. I must be looking at it from the wrong point of view!
