New To game

I am in search of a yamaha yzf-r6 or 600r. I'm new to the bike game. I don't know much about the details on what to look for when I decide to buy one. I have found a couple online around my area however there are a few questions that I have on my mind that I would appreciate if anyone can inform me about them. First, The bike I have found is a 1999 yamaha yzf-r6 with 3000 miles on it. Is that too many miles to have on a bike, new or old? Between how many miles would be a good amount that a bike may have and still be in good condition for a longer time? In addition the bike I found is $3800, is this a good deal?
