How to statistically test if a conservation area protects an animal species?

I would like to statistically test in SPSS if conservation areas are protecting enough home range of an animal species.

The whole study area is 17265km2, and only 4230km2 of them (24% of total territory) is legally protected under conservation figures. Inside these conservation areas, there are only 442km2 of the species home range, whereas 251km2 of the species home range are outside the conservation areas.

Is there any way to statistically test this in order to see if the existent conservation areas are rightly protecting this animal species?
