Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone can tell me which kind of end table this is. There are no names or numbers on it.

(a hexagon glass top wooden table, 20" height, 28" largest diameter, 24.5" smallest diameter)

I am interested to know the brand and how I can find one exactly like this.

I found these online, and they each have some similar features to the above table:

@rafanul,
That would be a coffee table over here (UK), but it all depends on the size.

I suppose "occasional table" would also fit the bill.

£30 or so, new?

Here's another....just type into goog "hexagonal coffee table glass wood" and you'll find loads.

Right. I just updated the post with measurements. This is not new, and I am interested to know the brand and how I can find one similar to this.

@glitterbag,
Yep.

That bottom area would be filled with newspapers and magazines in no time at my house.

@Lordyaswas,
It would be out by the curb on bulky trash day in no time at my house.

@chai2,
How about if you could find its mate?

@roger,
Then they would both be out on the lawn, probably making little tables.

I'm sort of in agreement with chai, although mine would have gone to the charity shop, as we Brits are fussy what we put by our bins.

@chai2,
I would pick it up and cover th side with chicken wire except for an inward small flap. I could use it as crab trap .

That's true, but I live too far inland for that.

I guess I could lure a possum into it.

Shewolfs got a possum in a cage and my ankles went all shaky and tingly and I near **** myself when I saw it closer to me than I thought it was.

@farmerman,
Geez, I think if you had that table refinished it would work a lot better. I've been seeing a lot of two toned washed wood tables. Pecan stained/Black stained, in fact I can find a ton of tables I like but they are all antiqued distressed black stained or antiqued distressed white. I know damn right well, as soon as I bring one piece of that black or white furniture into my house, the whole industry will revert to beautifully finished hard woods.

@glitterbag,
yeh , I can see painting it a flat black. That way the crabs wont see it when they go for the bait and lock themselves inside. Dumb creatures, crabs.

@farmerman,
I used to go crabbing with my grandfather. He used to tie pieces of eel to strings and hang them over the side of the boat. When the crabs took the bait you could net them up. But the day he used a catfish head as bait, I kept forgetting which string had the fish head, and when I was 8 seeing crabs picking all over that damn ugly catfish as you pulled the string thru that murky water still haunts me. I think that was when crabbing stopped being fun for me.

Can someone please give me a useful hint? Something that would help me search for this table online?

@rafanul,
Unless you have a maker's name or shop label, raf, I think that you will have a bit of difficulty as there are probably hundreds if not thousands of similarly shaped tables out there with many and varied types and hues of wood.

Type in key words... hexagonal, glass etc., and keep scrolling.

Good luck.
