No Power in Wires

I recently replaced 4 light switches (3-way switches) to a kitchen light and hallway light. They are in working order and function properly. My range hood, over the oven, stopped working. I pulled it down and found that the wires leading in from the wall, do not have power. The oven range is on the same circuit as the kitchen light. All lights on the circuit work properly, except the oven range.

Rules differ all over the world, but I can't imagine an installation that has a range and lights on the same circuit. I wouldn't begin to try to analyse the circuit without seeing it for myself, and I don't think anyone should be trying to advise a non-qualified person to screw around with it. Call an electrician.
