It is like a woman saying I am not talking to you . Very poorly thought out but makes her feel powerful .
Here's how I've seen it work . People start off polite . Then person A starts to insult . Person B insults back . Back and forth . A forgets they started the process and loudly declares they are not talking to person B and is putting them on ignore , convinced that person B is at fault because they are unaware of their first insult .
It is admitting failure , it is intolerant and it is the one thing a society should never do . Once ostracised anything can be justified . It was human nature that made the Nazis, not some inexplicable random event . That part of humanity is alive on A2K and actively involved in "ignore" . It takes fear, stupidity and arrogance to use ignore and I think that is demonstrated by those who use it .
