What!? You mean they quit giving an admissions to make sure you were an expert before being allowed to join?

Shame!

Well, actually, <ahem> I was kind of grandfathered in as an early ravensrealm member. I can assure you, though, if you don't get yourself qualified, you are not going to be paid for your answers.

<sorry, Pifka>

Seriously, Dor 21888, we are all experts here including you. We are just experts at what we are experts of.

What is your field? What do you know? What do you think?

Dat's it/

Joe- Isn't the thought of the smiles of the happy people to whom you have given your expert advice payment enough?

I think Dor may be thinking of sites where people may become registered as experts.

Here, people give answers/advice where they feel they can.

Doubtless Craven or a mod will come along to answer you, Dor, but I have not heard of any plans to follow such a model.

Meanwhile welcome - and have fun. Are you especially knowledgeable about anything in particular?

Hell, never thought of that, Dor21888.

So, how do you became an expert here? And, christmas is near!, how much does one get per answer? (An additional bonus, when it is correct?)

I believe I am an expert. What is it you seek?

But before you answer my question.... as quick as you can; snatch the pebble from my hand.

Well, I was just dropping by to tell you that Gus is an expert. But I guess he beat me too it.

Really though, only about 1/4 of us are actual experts. The rest of you just bug us with stupid questions.

Don't really have any sorta "Official Expert" designation here, per se. I'd say anyone's welcome to establish their own credentials in such regard by demonstrating a particular expertise through developing a posting history. Some folks here are known for detailed, reliable, accurate answers, and some aren't. Go ahead and qualify yourself as may apply; ain't nobody gonna do it for ya.

<waking up and wondering why you're talking 'bout me...> Huh?

Welcome Dor. It's all a false front, even the experts won't give you expert advice. They just like to chat and possibly make fun of you if you're up to it.

2. Was Einstein's concept of a cosmological constant his biggest error, or is it still valid? (explain)

3. Discuss parallels and differences between the indecision/lack of action of Shakespeare's characters Hamlet and Richard II.

4. Explain Baseball's infield fly rule.

5. Has the Ninth Amendment to the US Constitution been ignored by the courts? (explain)

6. In what ways did the Battle of Actium shape modern Western society?

7. Does God exist? (give three examples)

8. Are the preceding questions a load of ****? (circle one)
yes no

If you answered 'yes' to question #8, you're in. Welcome.

Oh, pifka, you're the one that started that wild rumor about getting paid over a year ago. You forgot, but I stole your joke and apologize.
