I am looking for the quickest way to get my sag/aftra/equity card. Any advice anyone?
I am a self-employed actor and am moving to Austin Texas. Is there a lot of paying film/theatre work in that area?
Advice, suggestion, or information in appreciated.
I'm a member of Equity, but I don't know any fast ways to get a union card. The fastest way is to get cast in a role in a union film or play, but there's no way to make that happen.

In Austin Texas you are probably better off being a non-equity performer. I live in Boston and I do a lot of non-equity work and it often pays as well as equity - and there's more of it.
