1. Check the maintenance records by taking it to a Toyota dealer to see when the last scheduled maintenance was performed. If the owner did not take it to a dealer for service, ask him for the oil change and related service receipts.

2. Have the car examined by a mechanic that you trust.

Toyotas have perhaps the most solid and consistent reliability and dependability track record of any make available in the United States, but you should verify how its owner has treated it over that 100K miles, which is extraordinarily high for a 4-year old auto (an average of 25K annually compared to a 'normal' average of 15K).

If it is a rental car (ie you are buying it from Hertz or some such) then I would stay away.

And welcome to A2K. Smile

How many over 100,000 miles?
If the car has right around there, that sounds pretty cheap, considering it's in good condition, and has a clean title. They're extremely reliable cars, if you take care of it, there's no reason it shouldn't last another 100K.
Is it a clean title?

i called the dealer and they said it has about 125,000 miles. I am not sure if that is too many or not. Please let me know what you would do as i do not know too much about cars. I will run a carfax on it if i like it and also have it checked by a mechanic. Thanks again!

An abused V6 might not change gear smoothly. Apart from looking for accident damage and checking the documents, there's not usually much to worry about with the Camry

if you are going to by it ask the dealer if he will put a new timing belt on it or provide proof that it was changed recently. If the dealer wont put one on get it done straight away(it's an inexpensive job) In fact get one put on any car you buy
Good luck
