charging port on a Samsung exhibit

My phone was plugged in to a charger and the charger almost caught fire..the phone got super hot...I unplugged the phone and turned it off. when it cooled I turned it on. it works fine but when I plug in a new charger the phone won't charge. How can u trouble shoot a charging port to find out what exactly broke..is there a trick where I can reset a blown fuse?
