Is it "to grow" or "grow"?

Hi,

I desperately need some help with wording something. I've been asked to check the wording on a gift and I've been asked whether it should read:

Thank you for helping me to grow
OR
Thank you for helping me grow.

I think "to grow" is correct, but I'm not sure why? Can anyone let me know which version is correct and the reason why?

Many thanks Smile

@DaniGirl2609,
After the verb "help," the bare infinitive is preferred. Therefore, it's somewhat more fluent to say "help me grow." Using the full infinitive isn't exactly wrong, just slightly less fluent.
