This song has been mesmerising me since I acquired it. It's by a band called the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, one of the most melodic sets that I've seen. They have been called a Velvet Underground for the twentifirst century. Although this song is spartan compared to others, I find it captivating when listened to.

Pack up
I've strayed
Enough
Oh, say say say
Oh, say say say

Wait, they don't love you like I love you
Wait, they don't love you like I love you
Ma-a-a-a-ps, wait!
They don't love you like I love you

Made off
Don't stray
My kind's your kind
I'll stay the same

Pack up
Don't stray
Oh, say say say
Oh, say say say

Wait! they don't love you like I love you
Wait! they don't love you like I love you
Ma-a-a-aps, wait!
They don't love you like I love you...

Since it's playing right now, it's gonna be...

Quote:
I met her in a club down in old soho
Where you drink champagne and it tastes just like cherry-cola
C-o-l-a cola
She walked up to me and she asked me to dance
I asked her her name and in a dark brown voice she said lola
L-o-l-a lola lo-lo-lo-lo lola

Well I'm not the world's most physical guy
But when she squeezed me tight she nearly broke my spine
Oh my lola lo-lo-lo-lo lola
Well I'm not dumb but I can't understand
Why she walked like a woman and talked like a man
Oh my lola lo-lo-lo-lo lola lo-lo-lo-lo lola

Well we drank champagne and danced all night
Under electric candlelight
She picked me up and sat me on her knee
And said dear boy won't you come home with me
Well I'm not the world's most passionate guy
But when I looked in her eyes well I almost fell for my lola
Lo-lo-lo-lo lola lo-lo-lo-lo lola
Lola lo-lo-lo-lo lola lo-lo-lo-lo lola

I pushed her away
I walked to the door
I fell to the floor
I got down on my knees
Then I looked at her and she at me

Well that's the way that I want it to stay
And I always want it to be that way for my lola
Lo-lo-lo-lo lola
Girls will be boys and boys will be girls
It's a mixed up muddled up shook up world except for lola
Lo-lo-lo-lo lola

Well I left home just a week before
And I'd never ever kissed a woman before
But lola smiled and took me by the hand
And said dear boy I'm gonna make you a man

Well I'm not the world's most masculine man
But I know what I am and I'm glad I'm a man
And so is lola
Lo-lo-lo-lo lola lo-lo-lo-lo lola
Lola lo-lo-lo-lo lola lo-lo-lo-lo lola

From the Lion King...panzade...you have to have young children to know about Hakuna Matata...

Hakuna Matata!
What a wonderful phrase
Hakuna Matata!
Ain't no passing craze

It means no worries
For the rest of your days
It's our problem-free philosophy
Hakuna Matata!

When he was a young warthog
When I was a young warthog
He found his aroma lacked a certain appeal
He could clear the savannah after ev'ry meal
I'm a sensitive soul through I seem thick-skinned
And it hurt that my friends never stood downwind

And, oh, the shame
Thoughta changin' my name
And I got downhearted
Ev'rytime that I...

Hakuna Matata!
What a wonderful phrase
Hakuna Matata!
Ain't no passing craze

It means no worries
For the rest of your days
It's our problem-free philosophy

This is what's going through my head:

Something better than this
Some place I'd like to go
To let all I have learned
Tell me what I know
About the kind of life
I never thought I'd live
'Til the ugly truth
Showed me what it did
Let it pass on the side of the road
What a friend could tell me now

On a borrowed dime
In a different light
You will see what
The other side looks like
In a random room
Behind an iron door
Kick an empty can
Across an empty floor
Let it pass on the side of the road
What a friend could tell me now.

Yeah, I was wondering what you had in your head. Are you big fans of theirs? I used to work on a country station, but I was doing this godawful talk show, not the music. (It was godawful not due to my competence levels, but because we had to rely on the same twelve callers all the time.)

About forty people listened, Caps, to the whole bloody thing! I once ran one of those Internet radio stations, and even that got more! It was one of those digital stations, that one can only get if one has a digital radio (which cost £100/$170?) ... and, besides that, no one seems to like country over in England, apart from a few people obsessed with Dolly Parton Neutral! I

That's cool; it's good to have cheery music around Very Happy. Do you like a lot of country?

yeah I grew up with it (country that is), but I like a variety of things not just country, I'm big into groups like Modest Mouse and O.A.R and Phish, but I'm pretty much open to almost anything. Oh, gotta go, my relief is here, I'll be around again later, Smile
