The hook in 'On Fire' by Lloyd Banks. Coolest song released in a loooong time;
We on fire
Up in here, it's burning hot
We on fire
She'll take it off if it get to hot, up in this spot
We on fire
Tear the roof off this ************, light the roof on fire
Nigga what you say
We get loose in this ************, light the roof on fire fire fire
Whoa oh oh no
Here they come
The members of the dead beat club
I was just listening to Hindemith's "Symphonic Metamorphosis on a Theme of Weber". It is both one of my favorite, and most hated pieces.
Why? 'Cause every time that I hear it, the melody whirls in my head for hours. Same for Prokofieff's "Romeo & Juliet"

But sometimes that just ain't enough to keep a man like me interested
(oh no) no way (uh-uh)
No, I've gotta go out and have fun at someone else's expense
(oh yeah) Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
I drive really slow in the ultra-fast lane,
While people behind me are going insane.
I'm an asshole (He's an asshole, what an asshole)
I'm an asshole (He's an asshole, such an asshole)
I use public toilets and piss on the seat,
I walk around in the summertime saying "How about this heat?"
I'm an asshole (He's an asshole, what an asshole)
I'm an asshole (He's the world's biggest asshole)
Sometimes I park in handicapped spaces,
While handicapped people make handicapped faces.
I'm an asshole (He's an asshole, what an asshole)
I'm an asshole (He's a real ******* asshole)

Beach Boys Lyrics - Their Hearts Were Full of Spring
Their Hearts Were Full of Spring Lyrics:
There's a story told of a very gentle boy
And the girl who wore his ring
Through the wintery snow
The world they knew was one
For their hearts were full of spring
As the days grew old
And the nights passed into time
And the weeks and years took wind
Gentle boy, tender girl
Their love remained still young
For their hearts were full of spring
Then one day they died
And their graves were side by side
On a hill where robins sing
And they say violets
Grow there the whole year round
For their hearts were full of spring
Stilly is silly. Believe it or not, I know that song...
Letty - I hope I'm not too far out of line when I say that is so f@cking dreadful!! Peeee-uke!
It doesn't have to be profound to get attention, Stilly. Just memorable. Good or bad, the idea is to challenge all that has been and will be sacred.
Dyslexia and I might have been dueting on "These Foolish Things Remind Me of You". Couldn't get that song out of my head, - until -George started "Swingin' on a Star". And Swingin' on a Star" and the animals in the zoo now has me stuck with this one:
I'll take Manhattan, the Bronx, and Staten Island too,
it's lovely going through the zoo
It's very fancy on old Delancey Street, you know.
The subway charms us so,
when balmy breezes blow
to and fro.
And tell me what street compares with Mott street in July,
Sweet push carts
gently gliding by.
The great big city's a wondrous toy,
just made for a girl and boy.
I'll turn Manhattan into an isle of joy.
I'll go to Greenwich,
where modern men
itch to be free.
And Bowling Green
you'll see with me.
We'll bathe at Brighton,
the fish you'll frighten
When you're in
your bathing suit so thin,
will make shellfish
grin fin to fin.
I'd like to sail on Jamaica Baywith you
the fair Canarsies Lake we'll view
The city's bustle cannot destroy
the dreams of a girl and boy,
I'll turn Manhattan into an isle of joy.
and the only song that I know that was really deja vu, was Where or When.
Back later with the lyrics.....................................................
Wow, that's pretty heavy duty stuff to have stuck in your brain all day, Mr Stillwater! Should I play you a soothing Brahm's lullaby?
msolga, you are in luck. While not the original version, an awesome cover of Stranger to Himself from Paddy Keenan's new album can be heard here:

Stilly is clearly a Dennis Leary fan.

What makes you think I need soothing? Does the porcupine wish its quills away?
Maybe because you come from "the Low Place", Mr Stillwater. The lyrics seem to match.
... Cav, that was the most frustrating experience of what's obviously a beautiful song! ... I'd hear a bit, it would cut right out, then hear some more, etc .... Damn these old computers!
Now I want to hear more! Maybe I should buy it? Whatcha think?
I would highly recommend buying the album. Paddy Keenan is a fantastic piper.
I think I might just do that, cav!
