Onyx, is it:

Brandy, you're a fine girl,
What a good wife you would be,
But my life, my love and my lady is the sea.

My mommy said not to put beans in my ears
Beans in my ears, beans in my ears
My mommy said not to put beans in my ears
Beans in my ears

Now why would I want to put beans in my ears
Beans in my ears, beans in my ears
Now why would I want to put beans in my ears
Beans in my ears

You can't hear the teacher with beans in your ears,
Beans in your ears, beans in your ears
You can't hear the teacher with beans in your ears,
Beans in your ears

What's that you say, let's put beans in our ears
Beans in our ears, beans in our ears
What's that you say, let's put beans in our ears
Beans in our ears

You'll have to speak up I got beans in my ears
Beans in my ears, beans in my ears
You'll have to speak up I got beans in my ears
Beans in her ears

Say mommy we've gone and put beans in our ears
Beans in our ears, beans in our ears
Say mommy we've gone and put beans in our ears
Beans in our ears

That's nice boys just don't put those beans in your ears
Beans in our ears, beans in our ears
That's nice boys just don't put those beans in your ears
Beans in our ears

I think that all grown ups have beans in their ears
Beans in their ears, beans in their ears
I think that all grown ups have beans in their ears
Beans in their ears

Hey, we got beans and brandy; how about some wine:

Blindness Lyrics

Let's go down by the grapevine, drink my Daddy's wine, get happy.
Down by the grapevine, drink my daddy's wine, get happy, happy.
Oh, sweet blindness, a little magic, a little kindness. Oh, sweet blindness, all over me.
Four leaves on a clover, I'm just a bit of a shade hung over.
Come on baby, do a slow float you're a good looking riverboat
and ain't that sweet eyed blindness good to me?

Down by the grapevine, drink my Daddy's wine, good morning.
Down by the grapevine, drink my Daddy's wine, good morning, morning.
Oh, sweet blindness, a little magic, a little kindness. Oh, sweet blindness, all over me.
Please don't tell my mother, I'm a saloon and a moonshine lover.
Come on baby, do a slow float you're a good looking riverboat
and ain't that sweet eyed blindness good to me?

Don't ask me cause I ain't gonna tell you what I've been drinking,
ain't gonna tell you what I've been drinking, ain't gonna tell you what I've been drinking,
wine of wonder, wonder, (by the way).
Oh, sweet blindness, a little magic, a little kindness. Oh, sweet blindness, all over me.
Don't let daddy hear it, he don't believe in the gin mill spirit.
Don't let daddy hear it, he don't believe in the gin mill spirit.
Come on baby, do a slow float you're a good looking riverboat
and ain't that sweet eyed blindness good to me?
Now, ain't that sweet eyed blindness good to me?

Chug-a-lug, chug-a-lug
Makes you wanna holler "hi-dee-ho!"
Burns your tummy, don't ya know
Chug-a-lug, chug-a-lug

Grape wine in a mason jar
Homemade and brought to school
By a friend of mine and after class
Me and him and this other fool
Decided that we'll drink up what's left
Chug-a-lug, so helped ourselves
First time for everything
Umm, my ears still ring

4 H and FFA
On a field trip to the farm
Me and a friend sneak off behind
This big old barn
Where we uncovered up a covered up
Moonshine still
And we thought we'd drink our fill
And I swallered it with a smile
Brrrrrrr....I run ten miles

Jukebox and sawdust floor
Something like I ain't never seen
Heck, I'm just goin' on fifteen
But with the help of my faneglin' uncle
I get shuck in (I get snuck in)
For my first taste of sin
I said, "let me have a big ol' sip..."
Brrrrr....I done a double back flip

Chug-a-lug, chug-a-lug
Make you wanna holler "hi-dee-ho!"
Burns your tummy, don't ya know
Chug-a-lug, chug-a-lug

Ha ha these are great!

This has been stuck with me for weeks. I can't seem to hear it enough..
~~

the mongrel cat came home
holding half a head
Proceeded to show it off
to all his new found friends
he said "I been where I liked
I slept with who I liked
she ate me up for breakfast
and screwed me in a vice

and now I don't know why
I feel so tongue-tied"

I sat in the cupboard
and wrote it down in neat
they were cheering and waving
cheering and waving
twitching and salivating like with myxomatosis
but it got edited f*cked up
strangled, beaten up
used as a photo in Time magazine
buried in a burning black hole in Devon

"I don't know why
I feel so tongue-tied

don't know why
I feel so skinned alive."

My thoughts are misguided and a little naive
I twitch and I salivate like with myxomatosis
you should put me in a home or you should put me down
I got myxomatosis
I got myxomatosis

"now no one likes a smart arse but we all like stars"
that wasn't my intention, I did it for a reason
it must have got mixed up
strangled, beaten up
I got myxomatosis
I got myxomatosis

"I don't know why
I feel so tongue-tied"

Hey, Hamal. Really weird song, but I like it.

I like coffee, I like tea,
I like the java, boy, and it likes me.
Coffee and tea and the java and me.

A cuppa cuppa cuppa cuppa cup, boy! Smile

Walk right in, sit right down
Daddy, let your mind roll on
Walk right in, sit right down
Daddy, let your mind roll on
Everybody's talkin' 'bout a new way of walkin'
Do you want to lose your mind?
Walk right in, sit right down
Daddy, let your mind roll on

Walk right in, sit right down
Baby, let your hair hang down
Walk right in, sit right down
Baby, let your hair hang down
Everybody's talkin' 'bout a new way of walkin'
Do you want to lose your mind?
Walk right in, sit right down
Baby, let your hair hang down

Walk right in, sit right down
Daddy, let your mind roll on
Walk right in, sit right down
Daddy, let your mind roll on
Everybody's talkin' 'bout a new way of walkin'
Do you want to lose your mind?
Walk right in, sit right down
Daddy, let your mind roll on
Daddy, let your mind roll on

I agree those lyrics are weird! I could only wish to write like that. I had no idea what the heck Myxomatosis was at first ha ha. Learn something new anyways.. Thom Yorke is a musical genius, heck they all are.

Here's one from a band that took a while to grow on me, but since they have just about everything I hear from them gets trapped in my head. System of a Down. The song is Know from their first self titled -

---

Cursed Earth, Cursed Earth, Cursed Earth, Cursed Earth.

I will never feed off the evergreen luster of your heart
all because we all live in the valley of the walls
when we speak we can peak from the windows of their mouths
to see the land the women chant as they fly up to the sun.

You never think you know why,
Know, You never think you know why,
Know, You never think you know why,
Know, Ever think you know why,
Know.

Books all say different things while people flap their yellow wings
trying to soar by being a whore of life and almost everything
the sheep that ran off from the herd
may be dead but now's a bird, able to fly able to die
able to break your cursed earth

You never think you know why,
Know, You never think you know why,
Know, You never think you know why,
Know, Ever think you know why,
Know.

On the other side, on the other side, the other side,
Do you ever try to fly, Do you ever try to fly?
Have you ever wanted to die, you ever want to die?

Don't ever try to fly, don't ever try to fly,
Don't ever try to fly, unless you leave your body on the other side,
Never try to die, you ever try to die.

Know, You never think you know why,
Know, You never think you know why,
Know, You never think you know why,
Know, Ever think you know why, Know.

Watch them all fall down,
Revolution, the only solution,
The armed response of an entire nation,
Revolution, the only solution,
We've taken all your ****, now it's time for restitution.

The plan was mastered and called Genocide (Never want to see you around)
Took all the children and then we died, (Never want to see you around)
The few that remained were never found, (Never want to see you around)
All in a system , Down~

---

Yes.. as soon as im out of work tonight this will be blasting from my car on the way home ha ha.

Wow, Hamal. That song is fantastic! I love it!

And That Reminds Me
Della Reese

I hear the sound of music
Your favorite kind of music
And that reminds me dear of you
I see the summer roses
Your favorite shade of roses
And that reminds me to of you, dear

If I could hear no music
If there should be no roses
No summer nights to make me dream as I do
Perhaps, I might forget you
But in my heart I know
That I need no reminder to miss you so

I hear the sound of music
Your favorite kind of music
And that reminds me dear of you
I see the summer roses
Your favorite shade of roses
And that reminds me to of you, dear

If I could hear no music
If there should be no roses
No summer nights to make me dream as I do
Perhaps, I might forget you
But in my heart I know
That I need no reminder to miss you so

Letty, that song opened a floodgate of memories from the past! In a very good way, especially the chorus. Reminds me of someone I love very much and don't see anymore. It's so amazing how much music/art is woven right into the fabric of my life and memories. Great stuff, thanks!

Ahh, I am a 26 year old male. I have been meaning to fill out that bio-thingy, just keep forgetting. So much to this site, there are still some forum subjects I haven't even opened yet ha ha Embarrassed I will make it around eventually though. So many posters here blow my mind daily. Just hope I can contribute even one idea for the cause you know? This place is really amazing.
