That BAAAAAAAAD?
Jimmy V-What great memories I have. What a great Tarheel!
It's a great party...not many celebs this year outside of sports celebs though...we've had Darrius Rucker, Edwin McCain, Gary Busey, Michael Jordan came one year but he has a major case of "I'm a superstar-itis" Principal Belding from Saved By The Bell comes every year and sings Garth Brooks...a very friendly and easy going guy.....last year Charles told me he was going to help me out and started throwing the really bad singers off the stage in the middle of their songs....he was drinking a little...it was hilarious......
And you're absolutely right about Jim Valvano....he had a real aura about him and seemed to be a genuinely great guy....I met him several times.....I always thought the Wolfpack went to **** because of karma for what they did to him.....his wife Pam is a very classy lady as well......I'm happy to be involved in this party every year...the ESPN people are great to be around as well......all in all a very enjoyable affair every year...
Principal Belding from Saved By the Bell? Wow! He was a comedy legend. Does he live in North Carolina?
(Sad to hear it, Panzade. Do you often meet the backing band?)
(What is he doing now, by the way? Is he retired?)
Great stuff Bear- And Drom , you're sweet. You're able to feign interest even when bored to tears.

Weird; I have one going through my head too, Caps; 'Mediocre bad guys,' it's called, and it is surprisingly brilliant for a song with such a duff title...
I figured out what it was... it was something w/ sublime too... but ive forgotten the name again...
today its that damn meow mix commercial... I want yesterdays song back
Today's soundtrack: Every little thing gonna be alright.
well, when I hear it, it's sung by an 8 year old Jamaican girl (Georgia Norman on This American Life
NPR), when I sing it, it's marley.
Gawd! You slipped into the gutter sweets.
Short people got no reason
Short people got no reason
Short people got no reason to live ....
I don't know where or why this is doing a replay in my brain, but it's pretty determined!
Ah, Olga - I shouldn't have come to this thread! Now I have it, too!!!!
short people... no, stop! short people............ aaaaaahhhhh!!!!
That's what happened to me yesterday, urs. I ended up singing littlek's song!
Quote:Once I used to believe
I was such a great romancer
Then I came home to a woman
That I could not recognize
When I pressed her for a reason
She refused to even answer
It was then I felt the stranger
Kick me right between the eyes
Well we all fall in love
But we disregard the danger
Though we share so many secrets
There are some we never tell
Why were you so surprised
That you never saw the stranger
Did you ever let your lover see
The stranger in yourself?
I have no idea why. I have no music by Billy Joel anymore or even any covers of his work. It is driving me INSANE!!!
This band has one of the best live shows I have ever had the forutne to see, and most anything of theirs gets trapped in part of my mind. Maynard James Keenan just has this way of putting things... Well i'll let you read for yourself incase you havent heard it..

I don't want to be hostile.
I don't want to be dismal.
But I don't want to rot in an apathetic existance.
See I want to believe you,
and I wanted to trust you
and I want to have faith to put away the dagger.
But you lie, cheat, and steal.
you lie, cheat, and steal.
you lie, cheat, and steal.
And yet I tolerate you.
Veil of virtue hung to hide your method
while I smile and laugh and dance
and sing your praise and glory.
Shroud of virtue hung to mask your stigma
as I smile and laugh and dance
and sing your glory
while you
lie, cheat, and steal.
you lie, cheat, and steal.
you lie, cheat, and steal.
How can I tolerate you.
Our guilt, our blame ,
I've been far too sympathetic.
Our blood, our fault.
I've been far too sympathetic.
I am not innocent.
You are not innocent.
Noone is innocent.
I will no longer tolerate you
Even if I must go down beside you.
Because,
Noone is innocent.

Tool "Intolerance"
Dark and fueled by frustration with a world where this message fits perfectly.
You can trust your car,
To the man who wears a star
The big bright Texaco star!
How'd that get in the rotation?
It's a pretty pass
How you always seem to land on your feet
A little undone
Anybody else by now would be cold meat
Whenever you fall
You can put your shoes under my bed
Anytime anytime you're passing by this way
Remember you will always have a place to stay
Whenever you call
You can put your shoes under my bed
Trip the light
And who of us can tell what's real
and what's fantastic
You do it right
No-one else could have such grace
and be so spastic
Let heaven fall
You can put your shoes under my bed
