Stuh, please read it again. I said that SOME are not arbitrary and some are. But the most fundamental, foundational and tacit metaphysical presuppositions are BY DEFINITION arbitrary constructions of the culture, and in the case of space and time, if Kant is right, built-in a priori "assumptions" of the species. I don't know about that.

In England, khaki = "car key" (camouflage green/brown) is well understood. Pronounciation doesn't matter but naming in some areas can be a nightmare especially cream/beige or rust/wine.
