The Canajun group The Guess Who had a hit with this in 1969--they actually charted higher in the U.S. than in Canadia . . . they were from Winnipeg, Manitoba.
The singer is Burton Cummings. The lead guitarist, Randy Bachman (pronounced BACK-man, not Bockman) launched another group with a drummer named Turner and a few of this brothers--Bachman-Turner Overdrive. He now hosts a wonderful rock music program on CBC, "Vinyl Tap," which airs every week.

Another facet of Louis is his work in The Jungle Book
This is for that hard-rockin' mama, Vonny. Eddie Cochran had a modest hit with this in 1958. Then it was covered as a hard rock tune by The Who. The vocals are by Roger Daltrey backed up by John Entwhistle::

Eddie Van Halen (his mother's name) is the son of a Dutchman and a Eurasian woman, and was born in the Netherlands. He became one of the greatest hard-rock guitarists in the United States, as well as holding several patents on various electric guitar innovations. Here's his early hit . . .

Some people consider Deep Purple to have been the first hard rock group (in England, perhaps). "Highway Star" is from the Machine Head album, and the vocals were by Ian Gillan.
Grand Funk Railroad, originally a three-man power band, was an early hard rock group. I've chosen a song, however, which is more of a ballad than a hard rock anthem. Here, the Flint, Michigan group performs at Shea Stadium in New York.

@Setanta,
I saw them perform that (Highway Star) live in the early 70's.
My ears stopped ringing around about 1982. Fantastic group to go and see.

Peter Sarstedt- Where Do You Go To My Lovely.
You can't get much more Euro 60's jet set than that, dahlink!
And a song called 'Take Off Your Clothes'.
I link the accompanying video purely for scientific research into 1960's ladies underpinnings.
