Thanks for reading my question and please forgive my poor English.
I want to combine these three sentences by using Ving sentence.
Sentence 1: That sick looking guy is Erik
Sentence 2: Erik is standing there
Sentence 3: Erik is surrounded by a bunch of young girls.
My sentence :
That sick looking guy standing there being surrounded by a bunch of young girls is Erik.
Question :
I'm confused should i keep the word , "being", in the sentence or should i write like this way :
That sick looking guy standing there surrounded by a bunch of young girls is Erik.
If both of the sentences is correct, is there any difference between them ?
Thanks in advance
Chen
@Chen Ta,
Con is of course right, Chen, although "being" is okay if it's before he's fully surrounded
That sick looking guy standing there surrounded by a bunch of young girls is Erik.
Erik has already been surrounded by a group of girls.
"Being surrounded" means the activity is taking place at the present time.
